This diminutive glider of only 10 meter span was built from plans in many countries. At least three were constructed in Australia

The early flying history of the museum's is uncertain but we know that it flew in 1972 at Tocumwal after a 20 year survey. It then had many flights in the Tocumwal area.

In 1973 it flew at Mt Isa Qld. And then returned to Victoria where it is known to have flown in the Albury area up to 1977.

About 1979 GQM appeared suspended in the main hangar at Tocumwal.

GQM will in all probability be restored to airworthy condition.

Once again we are thankful that Bill Riley has given us this important little glider.
